Northern California gaurd question

I'm in the process of joining. I took the ASVAB in 2004 and scored a 42 but I plan to retake it again (I skimmed through it and didn't take it that seriously). I was wondering if anyone knows what kinds of M.O.S.'s are available in Northern Cali. The unit here in town is a mechanics unit, which I wouldn't mind but I'd like a broader scope of things.

Normally I'd just ask my recruiter but he's a pretty busy guy and I'm doing a job training class right now, so I don't really have the chance to contact him for the next 2 weeks.

Oh, I'm in the process of getting my boots, so to speak. I have a small criminal history (of which there are a few misdemenors and a felony, but the felony isn't classified as such in the reg book) so he's working on my waivers, and like I said, he's pretty busy right now.

Thank you very much. Unfortunatly my recruiter told me they can't get around my felony right now. The reg book doesn't classify vandalism as a felony but California does (exceeding $400.00). He said when the fiscal year starts they might allow waivers for felons, but not right now >.<'

So in October I hope to be finalizing my paperwork.
