Just swore in yesterday at the San Jose MEPS after a very loooooong day. Am currently slated for BCT at Benning in September followed by AIT at Rucker.

When choosing my MOS, my recruiter gave me a spreadsheet that listed the MOS numbers, requisite line scores, a brief career description and the length of AIT. This sheet listed 15P AIT as 6 weeks, but my contract and ship date paperwork show it as 10 weeks... any idea why there would be a 4 week discrepancy?

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'll check with my recruiter tomorrow. I did just notice that I'll be gone during the holidays, so perhaps the 10 weeks takes into account the Christmas exodus... but I think that is only 2 weeks, so where the other 2 weeks are coming from is a mystery.
