I am a 37 y/o wife & mother of 2. I am meeting with a recruiter tommorow. I am a LPN. I have wanted to do this since I was 18. I know I am age eligible. Just wondering if there is other older woman considering this.

Hi, I'm Jan! I'm 35 y.o. and a single mom to 3 wonderful kids. I've been working with a recruiter for about a month, I went to MEPS 2 weeks ago, have to go back in another 2 weeks to hopefully pass the dreaded ortho/neuro part. In the "real world", I'm a pharmacy technician. Love to chat with you!

I turned 31 at Basic training. You will meet many people in their thirties who are joining the guard. I went to Fort Sill and the ages ranged from 17 - 37. I loved basic training, odd I know, and the friends I made there. One of my best friends there was only 19. Some of the younger ones will get on your nerves but for the most part everyone is great and there will be other people there in their 30's.

Well if you live in NJ i would be happy to sit down with you and your husband, and explain the options you have, if you live in another state just find a recruiter near you and he to will do the same.

Spoke with recruiter last night with my hubby. My biggest question that he needs to answer is if my LPN will go towards a medical mos. Anyone know????

diversity in the army. when i went thru basic in 1994, i was a college graduate and 24 years old. my battle buddy was a HS drop-out w/ a GED and only 18. We got along great, and were an awesome team!

I met again with the recruiter. Did the tape test and it says I have to lose 5.8% body fat. I think its doable. He found me a 41L position but I can't find it anywhere.
