I got an honorable discharge with a reentry code of 3, also have mso time remaining, nor did I receive an MOS. I know I am not qualified for the sign on bonus, but what about the student loan repayment program. Also I know that covers stafford loans, are sub-stafford loans included as well(the ones you pay on while still going to school). If I do qualify, is the LRP MOS related or can any job receive it. As far as the GI Bill goes, I paid into it for about 11 months, can I still get that upon completion of AIT and if so does the guard deduct monthy for a year for that. If they do where would I be as far as paying that, would I have to start over or just pay the month or two I didn't finish before. Thanks.

not that it helps but here's the deal on loans... subsidized stafford loan is the one the goverment pays the intrest on while in school, regualr stafford loan accumulates intrest while in school (or you can opt to pay the intrest while you're in school). both of these are "stafford" loans which are federal loans. i believe the perkins loan also falls into a similar category. i don't know about private loans though (known as "alternative loans"). just wanted to clarify a little about the loans so i hope it helps even though i personally don't know about the loan repayment.
As far as the G.I. Bill goes you should go ahead and apply for it online. I only completed 10 months of active duty and also got discharged with a re-code 3 (and did not complete AIT either). They tell you when you get discharged that you waive your education benefits. This is not true, as I applied for my active duty G.I. bill and I paid into it for 10 months and I am receiving 10 months worth of my G.I. bill. I believe the guard G.I. bill is separate from the reserves/regular army G.I. bill as the RES/RA is federal and the NG is state. It's not dependent on completing AIT.
