I am a media studies major at Cal State Long Beach. Growing up with a mother working in television has been inspirational to me, and I want to seek a similar career for myself. I signed up for NG DOCS because I wanted to get valuable production experience. I strive to be as successful as my mother one day.

Katelynn Johnson-Medeiros

I would describe myself as an artistic innovator, striving to become a part of something great in a competitive industry. I am an up-and-coming filmmaker with a deep passion in the arts. I believe that programs like NG DOCS push the next generation to become the best that we can be, while taking part in something bigger than ourselves.

I love filmmaking and believe that the NG DOCS will help me grow as a storyteller. I believe that young adults can create something new, and that it is important to test creative minds in fresh, experimental ways. I look forward to continuing my pursuit of a career in filmmaking.

I love making movies and screenwriting. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work on a project like the NG DOCS with other smart, talented and passionate young filmmakers. I believe that it is very important to have programs that completely facilitate creativity among young people.
