Incentives for Officers

You may be eligible for certain incentives or an Army National Guard bonus when becoming an officer in the National Guard. In addition to receiving a monthly paycheck, monetary incentives may include a cash bonus. Eligibility requirements for bonuses vary. You may qualify for:

  • Officer Accession Bonus for critical skills (up to a maximum amount of $10,000)
  • Officer Affiliation Critical Skill Bonus (up to a maximum amount of $10,000)
  • Chaplain Loan Repayment Program (up to a maximum amount of $40,000)
